While on the coach on the way from Krakow you will be shown a documentary on life in the camp.

    Krakow Museum Pass: All the museums have their own opening times. When you pick up your card you will get a leaflet which gives the opening times and addresses of all attractions.
    Auschwitz Birkenau Early Tour:
    6:00am - 8:30am
    (Hotel pick-up starts 30 minutes prior to departure time.)
    Kazimierz Tour: 12:15pm
    Old Town Walking Tour: 10:00am

    Meeting Point

    This great Krakow combo combines the best of Krakow tours bringing together a Museum Pass, Auschwitz and a walking tour either at Kazimierz or the Old Town, as per your choice.

    Day 1. Auschwitz Tour:

    As you make your way to Auschwitz, a moving documentary on life at the camp will be shown on the coach. The expert guide on the coach will be able to answer any questions you may have.

    Tours at Auschwitz can only be conducted by an official Auschwitz guide. On arrival you will be split into groups by language (Auschwitz tour is conducted in one language only) to start the tour.

    Your tour covers both Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II (Birkenau). The visit to each camp lasts around 2 hours and 1 hour 30 minutes respectively.

    Day 2. You can choose between one of the following walking tours:

    Kazimierz Tour:

    Take a walking tour around Kazimierz to get a perfect introduction of a world, with vibrant culture, customs and history. Walk past the markets, synagogues and Jewish cemeteries and learn the disturbed about Poland’s Jewish community as your guide shares interesting facts about how the area was exterminated by the Nazis during the World War II.

    Also, visit the main ghetto square and the ghetto wall and locations used in the Oscar-winning film “Schindler’s List”. This film is based on the true story of German industrialist Oskar Schindler who is credited with saving the lives of more than 1200 Krakow Jews during the Holocaust.

    You’ll see the enamelware factory owned by Schindler, where he employed Jewish workers and protected them during the Nazi occupation. Today, the factory houses a museum dedicated to the history of Krakow under the Nazis.

    Old Town Walking Tour:

    You’ll see the famous Main Market Square. Surrounded by elegant townhouses, palaces and churches, this is the largest medieval town square of any European city. At its center is the magnificent Renaissance Cloth Hall, which has been in business for 700 years and could be regarded as the world’s oldest shopping mall.

    Also see the twin-towered St Mary’s Church and learn the story of the brave trumpeter who died while warning his city of a Mongol invasion.

    Other important landmarks include Jagiellonian University. Established in 1364 by Casimir III the Great, this is the second oldest university in Central Europe and one of the oldest universities in the world. Stroll around Planty Gardens, a ring-shaped park which was once the city's moat.

    This tour includes a 30-minute break to discuss the history and present day situation of Poland with your knowledgeable guide.

    Krakow Museum Pass:

    The Krakow Museum Pass may be used when you wish. The pass gives you access to 30 museums in and around Krakow for 2 days. On producing your pass at the checkpoints, you will not only gain FREE entry, but will be able to travel on city buses and trams for FREE to get to the museums.

    Your time at Auschwitz is guided. It is not possible to explore independently.

    The maximum size of backpacks or handbags brought into Auschwitz can not exceed dimensions: 30x20x10 cm. Larger bags can be left on the bus.

    Please be respectful during your visit. Smoking, eating and talking loudly are forbidden. Photography is not allowed inside some buildings.

    This tour can be taken by people with limited mobility however there may be some compromises to the itinerary. We suggest you call us so we can discuss your requirements.

    Kazimierz Tour:

    This tour does not go inside any monuments or attractions.
